Wild boar once roamed free in the Scottish Highlands but a combination of hunting and loss of habitat led to their demise in the 13th Century. Now they are back and enjoying a resurgence, but this brings its own problems because the boar are incredibly powerful, incredibly destructive, and they just won’t stay in one place..

Legendary Black Cat of Tynedale caught on video in one of most convincing sightings ever

A video taken in a rural part of Northumberland appears to show a large black cat walking across a farmer’s field – in broad daylight.

The footage was taken in the remote Allen Valleys by a worker who wishes to remain anonymous – but said it “had to be bigger” than a normal cat after spotting it from around 40 metres away.
