Lori Bowling was driving through Hinsdale County with her husband Bill on July 28 and she was looking out of the window attempting to spot wildlife when she saw a massive creature emerge from the woods.

Northamptonshire Police has confirmed they have received a report of the sighting of a large cat in fields in a village near Corby last week.

Herewith another mystery cat report from Wales. I am sorry if I appear blasé, but is very little that I can say about this report. however, just seems to me to be very little tired that there are big cats of at least one species living wild in North Wales JD

A fairly typical big cat report accompanied by a video from which I have stolen a frame grab. I don’t want to sound like I’m always being negative, but although the animal is admittedly vaguely cat shaped, there is no sense of scale and no way to tell whether it is an enormous Siberian tiger or a domestic moggy. Cue a whole pile of death threats accusing me of trying to destabilise cryptozoology, when in fact I’m trying to do the exact opposite JD

Some years ago, a famous Cryptozoologist who really should’ve known better said that I was bringing the subject into disrepute because I had appeared mildly drunk at one of the Fortean Times conventions. It probably wasn’t my finest hour, but I think far more damage is done to the subject by people who post these blurry photographs of nothing in particular and claim them as important evidence for the existence of the Loch Ness monster. Ho hum JD

It is quite difficult to know what to say about the story. The picture from the videos is very blurred and uncertain. It certainly looks cat like, but it is impossible to tell how big it is because there is no realistic sense of scale. What a pity.JD

My personal thought is that it is a moggy. One of the comments was that it is a fat black cat, but the comment was deemed to be fat shaming the poor creature. I sincerely hope that the comment was a joke JD
