Surviving Arizona Jaguars

Are there jaguars in Arizona? See trail camera photos of rare big cat

Whilst these are not strictly mystery cats, they are extremely cryptic, and I find the idea of a naturally occurring wild spotted big cat in as modern a country as the United States absolutely fascinating. And it must be said, that if the president has his way and does complete a wall along the southern border, these delightfully rare creatures will probably be the first casualties. There are not enough of them living in Arizona to provide a viable breeding population. The Arizona population is topped up regularly by incomers from Mexico.

Jaguars may not be as common as they once were, and they aren’t often spotted. However, Arizona has a few of the big cats roaming the state.
