Here is an excellent Black Panther photograph from Mississippi.

Here is an excellent Black Panther photograph from Mississippi. Whilst I have no doubt that there are, indeed, melanistic pumas roaming parts of North America; I have researched them in Indiana and Illinois myself, over 20 years ago, there’s something about this photograph which appears too well framed to me. Whether it is an AI construct, or whether it is a cut and paste using Photoshop, I don’t know.

If it is indeed a genuine photograph, I apologise unreservedly to the photographer, but the animal pictured appears to be a leopard rather than a puma, and whilst there is no reason to suppose that a melanistic leopard has escaped from captivity and is roaming the woods in Mississippi, the photograph just seems to good to be real. On the other hand, maybe I am just a cynical old sod.
