Rare giant rat caught on camera for the first time

The legendary and rare giant rat species, known as ‘Uromys vika‘ has been photographed for the first time.The rodent was first offically identified in 2017, after a dead speciemin was found in 2015. These rarely seen rats grow up to 45cm long, and are only found on the Solomon Islands.
