The cat appears to be a jungle cat (Felis chaus), also known as the reed cat. It os a lynx-like species found in the middle east and parts of Asia. It is fairly long legged with a medium length tail. It is somewhat smaller than a lynx and despite it’s resemblance is not closely related. It’s closest relation is the black footed cat of Africa. They are common in captivity and several have been killed in the UK. Richard Freeman.
