A TIGER IN NEW SOUTH WALES IN 1931

LIKE A TIGER
STRANGE ANIMAL
IN HILLS
CANDELO, Tuesday.— Public inter
est has. been excited by the report
that a tiger had been seen on Mount
Harriet.
Mr Eric Britten, who lives in the
Tantawanglo Hills, is definite that he
saw an- animal standing about 3ft.
61n. high, with a head like a cat. Its
sudden appearance caused Britten’s
horse to bolt.
One or two search parties have
been out, and there are reports that
footprints have been seen and. that
dead wallabies have been found in the
river and on the mountain.
